Dear TAP volunteers, members, and audience,

As a proud part of the greater Washington, D.C. arts community, TAP is keenly aware that the stories we tell and the ways we tell them are important. The voices, stories, and lives of our diverse world enrich our communities and our theatre experiences, however, too often, are not reflected. The Arlington Players wants to do our part to help change that.

TAP is in a unique position to help strengthen our community by fostering greater diversity and inclusion, both on and off stage. It is imperative that we do more. This sentiment is at the core of our motivation for embarking on an effort to better understand our current state, so that diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility are at the center of who we are, what we do, and who we serve. We have entered into a partnership with VentureHCM LLC, a human capital management consulting firm, with deep expertise in this area, to assist us. VentureHCM will be conducting a current state assessment of our organization that includes opportunities to confidentially gather information about your experiences with TAP. Your feedback will help to inform our strategy and path forward in creating an inclusive experience for our volunteers, members, and audience.

We invite you to join us on this journey and share your feedback by completing The Arlington Players Experience Survey. Your completed survey will go directly to VentureHCM, the survey administrator. Individual responses will be reported in aggregates only to ensure participant confidentiality.

Please access the survey using the link below and complete no later than Friday, March 26, 2021.

VentureHCM will also be conducting focus groups to gather additional insights. The survey has an option for those who would like to express their interest in participating in a focus group.

Your voice is important to us!

We look forward to your participation throughout these efforts. Thank you for the work we will do together that will enable TAP to do our best in service to our community and create a theatre experience where all feel welcomed and represented.
