Announcing Spring 2017, She Loves Me

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

The Arlington Players Presents She Loves Me

April 29, 2016

ARLINGTON— The Arlington Players is thrilled to announce its upcoming production of She Loves Me, on stage in the spring of 2017.  She Loves Me will replace previously-scheduled Into the Woods, canceled by Music Theatre International due to an upcoming national tour.

Featuring music by Jerry Bock and Sheldon Harnick (Fiddler on the Roof) and book by Joe Masteroff (Cabaret), She Loves Me is sure to delight audiences and make for an unforgettable evening of fun.  Leading this wonderful production will be the incomparable team of Michael Kharfen (Director), Scott Richards (Musical Director), and Barbara Esquibel (Producer).

She Loves Me tells the story of two 1930’s European perfume shop employees who don’t get along but fall in love as they exchange anonymous pen pal letters.  This lighthearted and charming musical is filled with unexpected romance and marvelous musical numbers.

Other notable adaptations of this story include the 1940 Jimmy Stewart film The Shop Around the Corner and the ever popular 1998 Tom Hanks-Meg Ryan movie You’ve Got Mail.

She Loves Me will take Thomas Jefferson Theatre stage in Arlington, Virginia from April 14, 2017 through April 29, 2017.
